A skin-care brand is under fire for an ad promoting the phrase ‘white is purity’

Nivea is under fire for an ad featuring the phrase “white is purity” across an image of a woman wearing a white robe.

The ad, which promoted the German skin-care company’s Black & White Invisible Deodorant, was posted to Nivea’s Facebook page with the caption ” Keep it clean, keep bright. Don’t let anything ruin it, Invisible.”

Nivea was forced to delete the ad following an uproar from critics on social media accusing the company of racism Sunscreens, The New York Times reports.

The company apologized for the ad in a post on Facebook Clothing, saying, it was “not meant to be racially insensitive.”

“We sincerely apologize,” the company said. “Diversity, tolerance and equal opportunity are fundamental values of Nivea.”

This is the second time Nivea has been accused of featuring racist ads.

In 2011 Lingerie & Underwear, the company released an ad showing a nicely dressed black man holding the head of a man with an Afro Knickers. Nivea was forced to remove that ad at the time following a similar uproar, but images of it were resurrected on social media this week following the “white is purity” backlash Exercise & Fitness.

All of the dishes we tried were filling and generously portioned. Combined with complimentary chips and salsa starting every meal, a frugal diner can find a lot of value on the menu. A weekday lunch buffet only adds to the affordability.

And, of course, adults can find a bevy of flavored margaritas, both traditional and frozen, and Mexican beers on tap. Besides the mid-size dining room, guests can cozy up to the inviting bar or, when the weather allows, head outdoors to the patio.

One note of warning: The bathrooms were small and cramped for a full-service restaurant.

Limones is the Spanish word for “limes,” but as our patient and friendly server explained, the restaurant takes its name from the Limones family who founded it.

The restaurant is the owner’s first in our area.

Judging by the fun atmosphere, good value, and the laughter from the packed dining room on one of our Friday evening visits, the restaurant will find itself right at home in Toledo.

Flora’s Peanut Butter Eggs!

40 ounce jar of creamy peanut butter

2 pound bag of powdered sugar

2 sticks of butter…

5-6 bags of milk chocolate melting wafers


In a large bowl Nightwear, melt butter then combine peanut butter and powdered sugar.

When all ingredients are mixed together well, form the dough into egg shapes and place on a pan or plate Suits & Blazers. Chill in the refrigerator or freezer until hard Tops & Tees.

Melt chocolate wafers and when eggs are chilled dip them in the chocolate Maternity.

You may serve on a plate or serve in cupcake liners.
